Albanian emigrants in Greece are now insured

Albanian emigrants in Greece are now insured The promises of the PD are being put into practice - Two agreements are signed between Albania and Greece - Albanian emigrants are legalized and the way is opened for other seasonal jobs - A Greek consulate will open in Korçë and an Albanian consulate in Thessaloniki According to the spokesman of the Council of Ministers, the government has approved two important agreements, which concern the legalization of Albanian emigrants in Greece and making their legal employment possible for seasonal purposes. These agreements were reached after talks between the two governments and constitute an important step toward the normalization of the relations between the two countries. The first agreement concerns the social insurance of emigrants, giving them the opportunity to benefit from the relevant protection schemes. The second agreement opens the way for other seasonal jobs, creating facilities for the movement and engagement of Albanian workers in Greece. The news has been received with great interest by the emigrants and their families. In the context of the rapprochement between the two countries, the opening of a Greek consulate in Korçë and an Albanian consulate in Thessaloniki has also been announced. This is considered an achievement of foreign policy and a direct relief for Albanian citizens who work or seek to work in Greece. ELIDI KASMI
